What is personal data, and who processes it?

According to Article 3 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVK Law”), personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
FABO GLOBAL TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. (“Company”) acts as the “data controller” within the scope of the KVK Law and may record, store, update, process, disclose to third parties, and transfer your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the KVK Law.

For what purposes can your personal data be processed?

The personal data you provide (Name, Surname, Phone, Address, Email Address) may be processed by our company for the following reasons and purposes:

• To fulfill the legal obligations of our company,
• To carry out the necessary operational, legal, and/or business activities by our departments,
• To perform the necessary actions for the execution of the contract,
• To fulfill the legitimate interests of our company,
• To respond to the requests in the contact form in the most accurate and fastest way, etc.,

The personal data may be processed in accordance with Article 4 of the KVK Law in order to ensure that the activities conducted by our company are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and our company’s procedures, and to perform audit and control activities.

To whom and for what purpose can your processed personal data be transferred?
The personal data specified in Article 2 of this clarification text may be transferred to business partners, natural persons, and legal entities under private law, as well as to legally authorized public institutions and organizations, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVK Law, for the purposes stated in the same article and limited to the fulfillment of those purposes.

On what legal grounds, by what method do we collect your personal data, and for how long do we store it?
Your personal data is processed automatically based on the legal grounds specified in Article 5 of the KVK Law, which are: “Processing of data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, without harming the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject,” “Processing is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligations,” and “Processing is necessary for the establishment, use, or protection of a right.”

The processed data will be stored for the maximum period necessary as specified by relevant legislation or for the purposes for which it was processed, and in any case, for the statutory limitation periods. After this period, the data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.

What are your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698?
According to Article 11 of the KVK Law:

• Learn whether your personal data has been processed,
• If your personal data has been processed, request information about it,
• Learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is being used in accordance with that purpose,
• Learn about third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, either domestically or internationally,
• If your personal data has been processed incorrectly or incompletely, request correction and ask for the correction to be communicated to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
• Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the scope of the conditions outlined in Article 7 of the Law, excluding legal limits, and request that this action be communicated to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
• Object to the processing of your data by automatic means resulting in a consequence against you,
• In case you suffer damages due to unlawful processing of your personal data, you have the right to request the compensation of damages.

You can exercise the rights listed above under Article 6 by applying to our company, as outlined in the table below.
