Mechanical Stabilization Plants

Mechanical Stabilization Plants

Mechanical stabilization plants are integrated industrial facilities that produce the stabilized material required for constructing the base and sub-base layers of major infrastructure projects, such as highways, airports, and high-speed rail lines. Much like stationary crushing and screening systems, these plants are designed for long-term, continuous operation at a single site and can be configured according to the specific requirements of the operator. By conducting a detailed analysis of the site layout, the aggregate fractions to be used, and the target hourly production capacity, the optimal number of cold-feed silos, conveyor dimensions, and mixer capacity are determined for each project. Aggregates of various sizes are drawn from cold-feed silos—equipped with advanced automation and frequency-controlled dosing belts—and transferred to a collector belt with precise, millimeter-level accuracy, strictly adhering to the specified mix design.

At the heart of the production process lies a heavy-duty twin-shaft mixer, which ensures that the material is blended with water in the perfect ratio. An intelligent automation system continuously monitors the aggregate mixing proportions and the flow rate of the water injected into the mixer, guaranteeing a completely homogeneous infrastructure material that meets international highway standards. The Ni-Hard alloy wear liners and mixing paddles—secured with bolts rather than welds—maintain their structural integrity over long periods, even when processing highly abrasive rock types; this modular design also simplifies the replacement of individual components. Once blended, the stabilized material is rapidly discharged into trucks—either directly via discharge chutes or through optional storage silos—serving as a reliable foundation for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Technical Specifications and Features
  • Project-Specific Configuration: Combinations of silos, conveyors, and mixers custom-designed based on the number of aggregate fractions to be used at the construction site and the required capacity.
  • Precise Prescription Dosing: Thanks to the dosing belts located beneath the silos, each aggregate class is added to the mix in millimeter-precise proportions.
  • Continuous Mixture: The counter-rotating dual-shaft design creates turbulence in the water and aggregate within the hopper, resulting in a homogeneous mix with zero segregation.
  • Smart Automation and Water Dosing: Recipes are recorded via a computer- and PLC-controlled control panel; the water flow meter ensures that water is automatically added to the mixture in the exact required proportion.
  • Uninterrupted, High-Volume Production: Because it mixes the material using the continuous-flow principle without letting it sit, the hourly production rate reaches maximum levels.
